Artist Statement (include type of art, techniques & materials used, what it means to you)
My piece is a needle felt sculpture. I used recycled polyester fiber from my father's pillow that I dyed and the stand was made from his favorite chair. My art and father meant a lot to me. He introduced me to the world of art and creative thinking.

Artist Bio: Tell Us Your Story
Born in Dayton Ohio I grew up in a rural part of Greene county. Being queer in this area wasn't always the easiest but my father was my biggest supporter. When I left Ohio to pursue advanced education in Kentucky I lost a part of me in my family but something told me I needed to come home so I did. For five years prior to my father's passing I spent every weekend with my parents and I'm so thankful I made the decision to quit my job and focus on my art so I could spend that time with my family
