Artist Statement (include type of art, techniques & materials used, what it means to you)
These are models made with non-dry clay. The dragon's name is Cinder and the pangolin is Ember. They are my favorite animals. I made them at St Jude in Memphis, TN, after surgery to remove my second craniopharyngioma.
Dimensions: Cinder- 4"x6" Ember- 2.5" circle

Artist Bio: Tell Us Your Story
I have had two craniopharyngiomas, with one destroying my pituitary. My first one was diagnosed and removed when I was 5, and my second one when I was 9. I now have to take about a million pills every day to replace all my pituitary hormones, and a growth hormone shot weekly. Despite these challenges, I still live a happy and wonderful life. I have lots of friends and I love school!
