Artist Statement (include type of art, techniques & materials used, what it means to you)
This 10 x 14 piece was created by cutting out, from cloth, each piece then assembling and glueing them onto a piece of fabric to form the picture. I am the furthest thing I can be away from being an artist, but this project was easy even with visual difficulties and to me this means after all I have been through there is still life to live.

Artist Bio: Tell Us Your Story
I noticed a blind spot in my right eye and after dilating my eyes, my optometrist told me I had a mass or growth that needed to be checked out. After a few more appointments, I learned that I had a brain tumor and would need surgery. I was 44 and scared to pieces. Fast forward almost 22 years and I still can’t believe what I’ve been through. But I’ve been very blessed, no radiation and no regrowth.
