Artist Statement (include type of art, techniques & materials used, what it means to you)This is a 3D shadowbox. I used a Cricut paper cutter to cut the paper. I then used layered the paper with puffy adhesive so there is space in between. Being able to create means being me and the tumor almost took that from me. I was blind before my second resection, but the doctors and God were able to restore my vision. When I woke from my second vision I felt like I was in a tunnel, a lot like this mandala.
Artist Bio: Tell Us Your StoryI am Mother of 4 sons and a Science teacher to many more. I have just turned 49 years old and I dream of being able to live my life again free of stress and worry that my beautiful brain will attack me!
