Artist StatementNever take for granted the power of color as it always sets the mood or sparks emotions.
I like to create patterns with the idea of them going on forever but I've taken a piece as a snapshot of its beauty. Pencil crayons have the willingness to create these patterns like nothing else.
As an artist, I would like to become the world ambassador to pencil crayons and pencil crayon art. There is no other medium with so much freedom and versatility.
BioI am 48 years old and I was diagnosed with a meningioma brain tumor in 2017. I live in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
I have participated in the Toronto One of a Kind show and now have a body of work of over 1000 pieces and spanning over 30 years. My current project is a series of 100 5x7 postcards to mail to friends and family in isolation during the Covid-19 pandemic.
I am happy to include that each piece I create is on recycled cardboard which is not only environmentally friendly but gives me an endless supply of canvas that I can cut to any size for any frame.
