Artist Statement
Golden Hour Ducks: I painted this oil painting as a donation to the Children’s Hospital where I had brain surgery. Giving this piece to the hospital was a way for me to thank the staff for taking such good care of me.

Bio
My name is Katarina Love and I am 14 years old. On March 17, 2017, with a grade one Ganglioglioma on my brainstem. A lot has changed since then but one thing has remained the same in my life: my love of art. I enjoy drawing, coloring, and painting. My favorite medium is oil paints. No matter what medium I am using, art always brings me an escape from reality and joy.
