Artist Statement
Art makes me take time on something special. I can zone out and make whatever comes to mind, usually with colored pencils and paper. I made “The Mask of Life” which represents feelings I had while I spent weeks in the hospital. Feelings like hope, frustrations, happiness, relief, uncomfortableness, and gratitude. I titled each photo we took with what feelings I have felt. My mom found this online art exhibition while learning about my kind of tumor. Thanks!”

Sahaja is my name, but I usually go by Saji. I’m nine and a half years old and I have a Craniopharyngioma tumor that we found out about in February this year.
