"Ostrich Eggs" happily laid at 3RR, uniquely crafted
DescriptionSpotted eagle rays and schooling Halalu on a sandy bottom created with colored pencils.
Ohia Wood base. The egg is designed to rotate on its stand to give the visual effect of the moving school of fish.
From the artist; "There is a beach I go diving at in Kona. One day , up from the deep along the sandy bottom came 3 Spotted eagle rays in formation sailing the aquatic space I was floating in. Closer to the surface was a school of Halulu ( baby Akule fish) dancing around. For me It was a truly magical ethereal experience that I felt compelled to share and what a better surface than a rotating ostrich eggshell for that."
