I actually put the ostrich egg in a lathe turned Jacaranda Wood vase I recently made as a way to hold it when I brought it home from Rose Adares Studio. Then I tried Pyrography on it, but that did not work!

Looking at IT, (the art of noticing) as a Super Sized Sunday... Something I must have sub consciously been craving as comfort food in these crazy pandemic times! My Wife and I do love vanilla ice cream with hot fudge on top as an occasional after dinner desert. Adding whipped cream and a cherry on top makes all the better!
Plus adding some of Isla’s cherished sea shells and ocean polished green beach glass as the final touch around the rim, like some sprinkles do, only adds more whipped cream to the dream. & The “Candy Colored Red Vase” #623 - Is an example of my Pearlized Signature Finish on many of my lathe turned vessels that can be seen on my web page...Mydock Studio .

BioGrowing up in Miami with a woodworker, boat-builder godfather, I was exposed to excellence and attention to detail that continues to challenge me as I strive to improve my craft. My love of working with wood, combined with 40 years as a professional Artist, has brought me to my current passion of placing the “Mydock Touch” on wooden vessels.
I live on the “Big Island” of Hawaii in my studio home with my wife, surrounded by family and Artist friends, where it is second nature to “breathe in Inspiration and breathe out Creativity.”
