Pet's Story or Bio
Minnie Mouse was rescued from a hoarding house in San Diego in 2017. The house had 187 Yorkies living in horrendous conditions.
She was so scared, she tried to bite everyone at the shelter :((
I adopted her the day she was scheduled to be euthanized.
The moment we were alone, she knew I was her safe place ❤️
We have shared a wonderful bond since that very first day.
I am disabled and I have had sepsis (life threatening infection) nineteen times. The shelter, where Minnie Mouse was rescued, trained her to be my service dog the following year. She can detect when my temperature is climbing and she lets me know it is time to get help. Last year, she detected a blood clot in my arm and alerted me.
Minnie Mouse and I go everywhere together.
She kayaks with me and rides on my electric scooter. She even goes to the hospital with me ❤️
We moved to the Idyllwild area three years ago. Everyone in town knows Minnie Mouse by name, but I am just that person who walks with her :))
