Pet's Story or BioWe adopted Evie in June of 2018 from a rescue group in L.A. called Hope for Paws. I had never heard of them before, but one day, their video of a rescue of a mom dog and her 3 puppies, who had been abandoned in Perris, just happened to pop up in my Youtube feed. I watched the video and immediately knew I had to adopt Evie. We had lost our beloved pug Oliver the year before, so we weren't really thinking about getting another dog. But when I watched the Hope for Paws video, I just knew Evie was my dog. My husband wasn't so sure, but I applied to adopt her anyway, and luckily, they chose us to adopt her! A very kind volunteer from Hope for Paws drove her from L.A. to our home here in Pine Cove.
Evie has been the best little dog ever and, of course, she won my husband over as well and we just love her to bits. She loves going on walks, playing in the yard, chasing the squirrels, who tease her daily, chasing the chipmunks and barking at every person who walks by our house. In the winter, she loves playing out in the snow and then coming in and sitting by the fire or on her heated bed. Being warm and cozy is a priority for her.
