Pet's Story or Bio
We believed we were “rescuing” a stray puppy we saw on the side of the road between Temecula and Anza. Only to realize shortly thereafter that Birdie was rescuing myself and my son. You see , at the time, my son and I were living in a volatile home situation wrought with domestic abuse. But Birdie never gave up on me, she was there for me when I was scared I couldn’t go on. Birdie gave me the strength, love and companionship to get my son and I out of a nightmare I never imagined I’d let myself get into and that I began to believe I could ever get out of. This girl is so far beyond a pet, she is family and I owe her so much. Birdie has reminded me of what is important and has only strengthened my son and my bond. So while I used to think we found one another so we could save her, I’ve realized she was the angel in disguise. Shortly after finding our Birdie, she gifted us with 7 puppies. I am so grateful we were able to give one of those puppies a forever home with us. Our new family member, one of Birdies male pups, is Goose, and if he’s I even a fraction of the beautiful soul his mother is, then what a beautiful gift he is indeed. And he is turning out to be just that. Birdie and Goose are thick as thieves, reminds me of how my son, Charlie and I were for years just the two of us . Before I unwittingly let someone ugly into our lives. But Birdie saw us through that and because of her, this family is stronger than ever. We would like our Birdie to be considered for Pet of the year because of how much this girl has done for us and how much she means to us, she is the purest most beautiful soul I’ve ever had the privilege of loving and being loved by. Birdie has helped me find me again and strive to be the best mom I can be and for that I am eternally grateful.
