Animal’s Story
Axel, originally named "King Arthur" by the Contra Costa Animal Shelter (2018), was in a group of dogs soon to be euthanized. I went to meet him and was immediately won over by his sweet and loving personality. Of course, I had to adopt him. Once Axel settled in to his new home, I realized just how much work we had ahead of us. Adopting a middle aged/intact male with zero prior training was slightly out of my skill level. I made the decision to send him to doggy board & train with Refined K9, which was, hands down, the best decision I could've made for him. Axel now lives a great life with other animals (including cats and horses), has excellent leash manners, and is an overall awesome dog. His favorite things to do are snuggle, go on walks, and eat Wild Weenies from Pet Food Express!
