Story/Message
This year has been a challenging one as we all deal with the COVID-19 pandemic. Many of our activities have been put on hold as we combat this unwanted and nasty force of nature. That’s why Santa has taken to the river – to commune with the good in nature - in the solitude enjoyment of the sport of fly fishing. Wading in the cool currents of the Housatonic or Farmington river here in Connecticut, taking in the flora and fauna of all that nature blesses us with, can help rejuvenate the soul and calm the stresses of everyday life. This tree represents that sport with fly fishing themed ornaments and hand-crafted “holiday flies”. A winding river of blue meanders down the tree to the rocky riverbed below. And Santa is about to hook a “big one” (and then release it of course).
Our wish is that you find and cultivate your “something special” that offers a break from the busyness of everyday life and brings you peace and joy in these hectic times. We all know that Ann’s Place is always here to help provide solace in our times of greatest need. For that we are forever grateful.
