I was with my Dad at his home in Arkansas when he was sick. His 12 year old Schnauzer, Midge, died and he was devastated. Never again, he cried.
Six months later we saw a photo of a little black & white rescue in a foster home in nearby Izard County, drove there the next day, even though Dad thought she might be too much work for me. We sat in their living room when the door opened and that pooch flew through the air and landed in Dad's lap! Love at first landing! My Dad died 6 months later with Midge at his side. Then she came with me to Arlington and became my companion, even at church, under the pew in front of me. She loves people, all ages, but she thinks she's a person, and barks at dogs. I love her and her special, big eyes.
