Molly is a Blue Heeler who, (along with her brother Bleu), was born on a farm outside of Flint Hill, VA. Brought home at just seven weeks old, she was intended to belong to my mom, but as it turns out, she chose me and I belong to her.

She stole my heart and eventually I stole her away to live with me in Arlington.

We recently celebrated her 12th birthday with a fabulous Pool Paw-ty attended by many of the other dogs in our building. Her meek sweetness is always overflowing and she never leaves anyone without a smile on their face.

She’s very smart, loves to explore, learn, run, play, splash about in her little pool, chase a few horses while visiting the country, and lay down in exactly the place I need to stand. She is always by my side. I’m her person, and she’s my girl.

Molly may not have come from a shelter but she is still a rescue dog in her own unique way… As my therapy dog, she saves me every day, and I love her with my whole heart.
