Penelope hails from a southern Maryland based rescue organization and became an Arlington resident 11 days before Christmas. Her canine siblings, a German Shepherd and Belgian Malinois, fascinate her with their size, obsession with Kong balls and squeaky toys, and the need to obey their humans. But they adore her and let her think she’s the leader of the pack. She’s learned a few tricks (sit, shake, and high-five) that haven’t impressed the dogs yet but the humans are proud. Being a naturally social one year old kitty, as long as she’s in the same room as one of her humans and a dog, she’s content. As the only feline in the family, Penelope likes to think she’s the favorite (she is!).
