Ana is a 12-year old tabby whose pregnant mother was rescued from an alley in downtown Washington, DC by my friend Marie-Claire. Mama-cat soon had a litter, and I adopted Ana as a kitten along with her brother Nat who died three years ago. Ana is my dear and constant companion who spends much time in my lap. She knows how to stand up on her hind legs for treats.
