Pet's Story or Bio
My son Isaiah wanted a dog in the worst way. We were totally against it at first. Once we came around, we told him it would be great to adopt a dog from the shelter because all of those dogs need a good home. We went to two shelters and then we stopped at the AWLA shelter. On our way in we saw this adorable Jack Russell/Pug going out on a walk and said to ourselves, "that dog is cute". We went in, looked around, and then the dog came back in from her walk, and feel out in her cage. Once she saw us, she jumped up and we knew she was the one. My husband came back the next day to see her and she jumped in his lap. The rest is history. Elvira is 9 years old now and we love her so much!!!!!!!
