Piper's Mom was rescued from an junk yard in Maryland. I found her on Petfinders.com and drove to Frederick, Maryland, to meet & adopt her thru the PetSmart there. She had a bad case of cage anxiety but after a few days, warmed up to me and our resident cat, Topper, who is a AWLA alumni. She is a very active and loving kitty who, as you can see in the photo, is giving Thanks for her good fortune.
