Kaiser came from a shelter in Wisconsin. He was 7+ years old when we first met; he was a long term resident and I was volunteering. I knew we were family when he started claiming my lap for cuddles while I visited the many other pups at the shelter. In truth, Kaiser saved my soul during a crushing divorce... his affectionate nature and big brown eyes gave me a happy place to call home during the hardest chapter in my life. He is now around11 years old and has advanced arthritis in his hips but he's still my sweet, loving pooch and the best part of coming home from work everyday.
