Your Pet's Story or Bio
We adopted Peeta and Dalton from AWLA on June 22, 2014. They were both scared when we brought them home and AWLA warned us it might be months before they came around; Dalton was always protective of his “sister”. We set them up in our large finished basement and let our other cat Toby sniff them through the date. On day 8, Peeta (left) ventured out, wanted to be pet and became a lap kitty. When Dalton (right) saw Peeta getting pet, he decided he was ready too. Now they are both love-muffins. Dalton is still cautious at times (he may have been abused previously), but he just wants to be everyone’s buddy. They still snuggle together a lot. We love these two dearly and are so lucky to have them!
