I adopted Firefly from AWLA two years ago when she was almost 10. Being a senior dog has its challenges, but I've worked every day to show Firefly how loved and adored she is. She loves belly rubs and ear scratches and turkey treats. She's had some health scares recently and was diagnosed with canine cognitive disorder (doggie dementia). Adopting a senior dog has been so rewarding and she's my best friend, and I hope her golden years with me continue to be her best. Who can resist this adorable face and tongue?!
