SMIKE (formerly Finn) is a short-hair brown tabby named after a Dickensian character known for his great heart and fierce loyalty. Born around Christmas 2018 or Valentine's Day 2019, he brought pure love and hope into his owner Adrianne's life after she suffered personal trauma in 2018. He is extremely curious, clever and cuddly. A loyal and affectionate bedmate; a playful companion; a fastidious groomer; an inquisitive counter surfer; a skillful hunter of stuffed toys; an acrobatic runner and jumper as fast as light-speed.... His highly energetic personality brings a new spark of life each time he confidently leaps for his favorite red ball with the sudden pounce of a tiger. Yet, he also shows his more chilled and contemplative side as he stretches in his cat hammock into the sun, gazes silently into Adrianne’s eyes, or purrs sweetly in her lap. Even when relaxing or hiding, he will sprint to the fridge in a split second at the faintest waft of rotisserie chicken or grilled salmon. He loves "making biscuits," resting his paws on his owner's hands, standing on her chest and even walking on her face to wake her up every morning. Since Adrianne thinks he is the sweetest kitten ever, he gets away with just about anything! Just as God and nature intended it.
