Your Pet's Story or BioAdopted from AWLA in May 2017, bonded pair Buttercup and Westley live up to their Princess Bride namesakes and love to snuggle up to each other when not storming their wooden bunny castle. She's definitely a sweet queen ruling the roost and adventure king Westley still has a bit of dread Pirate Roberts in him for sure. The litterbox-trained duo can safely free-roam due to bunny-proofing and sticking to carpeted areas while generally avoiding the “lava” of hardwood floors. While they mostly prefer to be on the floor, they do enjoy using some steps (or hopping up directly from the floor) to come onto the couch to beg for treats, nibble some hay from a basketful that we keep there, and sometimes just stretch out to relax and dream of dried papaya. While they may disapprove of the scarcity of treats, we think their lives and ours are all the more richer since they came home with us.
As for the video: When the veggie bag crinkles, the bunnies answer the call by using a tunnel to cross the hardwood "lava". Buttercup is our hungry alpha bunny, but Westley isn't too far behind. Both bunnies feel the need to check out my already familiar phone at the end of their journey.
