Wags was adopted from Animal House Shelter 3 years ago when she was 1 years old. She was “surrendered” to southern Illinois and ended up at Animal House, being described as a mix of Italian Greyhound and terrier. She barked & barked at us when we first met her. She was a Wild Child digging to get under our fence and constantly trying to run away. I almost returned her to Animal House. After several months she started acting less Wild and more like a family member who knew she belonged with us. 3 years later she loves her home, her fenced in backyard and us. She has no desire to run away. She is loving, alert, faaaaaaast and still barks at anyone she doesn’t know. Within minutes she melts into the presence of strangers wagging her tail saying “please pet me!”
