Linus was delivered to me here in Salem, Wisconsin after I was about to surrender hope to have a new dog. Augie was my companion for 15 years. I couldn't go to a shelter because my spouse had knee surgery and I'm legally blind without driving privileges. I received a call 5 weeks after Augie passed from Rescue Riders in Tennessee. Kathryn Bauer was the first person to have mercy on us and arranged to have Linus delivered after we passed her interview and paid for the adoption fee with my Discover card. He was only 2 months old and delivered right to our doorstep at nighttime. The two boys who drove up were sweethearts and took a picture of me holding him with a huge smile but I didn't realize that this is the only picture of Linus that I have. It's uncanny that he's like Augie... reincarnation!?
