A little about me...
In May 2018 someone posted on Facebook that a dog was running around near Stone Mountain, Georgia, with its mouth taped shut, asking if someone could go help the dog. I said that if someone could catch the dog I would get it to the emergency vet. Somebody caught her and met me at the vet. Her snout was not taped shut, rather it was horribly scarred from having previously been wired shut. She was frightened and starving. After she was treated by the vet, I took her home with me. The next morning I got the police involved, They held her as a “stray”, but after a few days I persuaded them to let me “foster live evidence”. She was so malnourished that her ankles sagged and her feet were splayed. When she walked she made slapping sounds. I dubbed her “Fancy Feet”. I intended only to foster her until I could find her a permanent home, but when she was finally “released” to me, it was obvious that she was going to be a foster fail - she had chosen me to be her human! When she was found, Feets should have been just about full grown. After I got her, she went from 22 pounds of skin and bones to about 75 pounds of beautiful muscle, a good portion of which is pure heart. Feets is an incredibly smart and loving furbaby; she is my constant shadow. We were destined to find each other!
