A little about me...
Higgins is an AAU dog (formerly known as Higgy). After we adopted now "Higgins" in May of 2013. Like every adoptive mom, I wanted to know his background and I found out that he came from CCAC not just once but twice. Apparently, his angel AAU Niki rescued him along with his sister but had to return them since they were strays. When she returned the next Monday, he was gone. One year later...there he was again, so she made sure AAU nabbed him again.

I tell Higgins regularly that he has more angels than most, and he must have done something good either here or in another life. LOL. He's turned out to be a great dog despite his rough round early in life, and an integral part of our family. He's my son's best friend, and even has passed his canine training and earned his citizenship award!

Pictured here, Higgins likes to take all of his beds from around the house and stack them up for his quarantine naps. Thank you, AAU for being such a wonderful organization and giving these great animals a second chance at a good life, AND bless you for providing families new members that are the source of unconditional love. We all could use a little more of that these days!
