The Allegany County Animal Shelter is pleased to announce the first annual Shelter Pet Star Search photo contest. The contest will allow participants to upload digital photos of their beloved companion and share a brief story with the world about their pet.
The top five vote getters will have their photo featured on the Shelter’s new collection of fundraising wines. Beginning March 1, 2016 log onto www.alleganyshelter.com click on the link to the pet photo contest, upload your photo, add your contact info and your comments and then vote, vote, vote!
- Submit your pet’s photo for FREE beginning March 1, 2016 at 12:00 a.m.
- Photos are displayed on the website for voting until March 31, 2016. Voting closes at 9:00:00 p.m. that day
- Photos may contain more than one pet but no people
- Each $1 donation counts as 1 vote
- You can email links to family/friends to encourage voting for your pet’s photo
Photos must be taken at the highest resolution possible. At a minimum your digital photo should be at least 2400 x 1800 pixels and a color image. As long as the photos are high-resolution they may be submitted in any digital format – JPEG, PNG, etc.
