Thus handsome boy is my Oakley. Oakley spent over 3 1/2 years in the shelter. Some folks thought he was not very friendly with people, but I had seen his eyes go soft and warm when he felt safe and loved. Over a period of two years, I grew to love this misunderstood big guy. I promised him he would not spend his whole life in a shelter kennel. I took him home on September 2, 2015. He has been a steady presence and great example to our pack of formerly fearful pups. He loves sofas, toys, his yard and digging holes. Most of all, he loves us. Give a shelter dog a chance. They are unmined jewels waiting to be finished.
