Your Pet's Story or Bio
We rescued Joe from a high kill shelter in Philly. We were only told that he is a bulldog mix that was surrendered due to landlord issues, and that he was approximately 3 years old. We realized after we got him home that he is deaf. We have never owned a dead dog before, but were ready to accept the challenge. However, it turned out to not be a challenge at all, he immediately took to learning sign language and after just a few days he had learned all basic commands. We've had Joe for about six months, and wouldn't trade him for anything. He's a very sweet boy who ALWAYS wants love. His nickname is Velcro Joe, because he is always "attached" to one of us.
