Dozer was left tied to a tree after his family moved in 2004. "FREE DOG" was written on the pavement in chalk. I took him home. He was my best friend for 12 years. Dr. Shumaker at North Branch Animal Hospital carried him to Rainbow Bridge on 01/21/16. Enter Dopey. Dopey was an Allegany County Shelter Dog who had been injured and unclaimed. He was receiving vet care by Dr. Shumaker at the same time as Dozer and spent Dozer's last night with him. Dozer promised Dopey that he would see that Dopey got a loving family when he arrived at Rainbow Bridge. He came through on his promise. Dopey became a member of my family on 02/05/16. I know a little piece of Dozer is in that sweet heart of his. In Loving Memory of Dozer Downton and in honor of my sweetie, Dopey Downton.
