Meet Mozart! Mozart was rescued by All Aboard’s partner shelter in New Mexico. Once he arrived to Fort Collins in April 2023, he spent 6 months in different foster homes, and even a failed adoption. He was too reactive to attend adoption events, prolonging his time in fosters. In October of 2023, Mozart was adopted by us and although he found his forever home, the work was just getting started. It is hard to know what kind of life Mozart had before he was recused. But all of the turmoil and inconsistency created a very scared and reactive dog. Life was (and sometimes is) very scary for Mozart. Late fall and winter consisted of barking for hours when left alone, lunging at people & dogs while in the car, and being unable to hear any noises without barking uncontrollably. After months of training and time to get comfortable, Mozart has made tremendous progress. He has dog friends, he enjoys parks, watching geese, car rides, and has even gone to a brewery. It has been 7 months since Mozart joined our family, & he has worked so hard to overcome his challenges & learn how to “dog”.
