My family adopted Bullet last August at the Alexandria Welfare League after our 13-year-old giant black cat Jimmy died. We were all very sad. But wanted to give a new kitty a second chance at a good life. It was really hard to choose just one. Everyday during AWL camp, I would try to figure out which cat needed us the most. Bullet was the shyest cat there, kind of skinny -- and seemed to want to be invisible. He slept ALL the time curled up in a ball. But he was so gentle and his fur was so soft. My mom and I really liked his pretty black and brown tiger colorings. After we brought him home, he hid in a closet for weeks. Today he is 6 pounds heavier and spends his days playing with my cat Marshmallow and sunning himself on his perch. Life is good.
