Your Pet's Story or Bio
Sophie is a rescue dog. We adopted her when she was 4 from the Arlington shelter. She's 8 now. She was low key, maybe even looked a little ill. She was on antibiotics to fight serious ear infections. Yet she bonded psychically with Louann and responded with a meek wag when their eyes met. She is mostly Norwegian Elk Hound, a small one, but has beagle or some other kind of floppy hound ears. Her fur is amazingly soft. She loves other dogs and people. A little bit of.a chicken, she alerts us when someone enters her domain. She loves pets and belly rubs. She mourns when our daughter Aiko goes off to college. She likes being higher or at eye level, so she greets from the top of the stairs and it's hard to keep her from jumping up on people she likes. We're proud to be Sophie's pack.
