Your Pet's Story or Bio
This is General Oats. He is a Quaker who was found as a stray in Alexandria and brought to AWLA. He adopted me. First, he convinced me to let him hang out in my office and squawk. I wasn't sure I was ready for a bird so I made the hard decision to put him into adoption. The day he was adopted, I was so incredibly sad - I whispered to him before he left that he should come back to the shelter if it didn't work out in his new home. Well, a few weeks later, guess who was brought back? He made himself right at home in my office again and then convinced me to take him home. My two dogs have adjusted to him and his favorite toy is his toothbrush which he walks around with all over the house!
