Why should your pet be America’s Next Top Mutt?
Hawkins was brought into ACCT Philly as a stray in August of 2011. He was a scrawny little dude that had some marks like he was a bit banged up, maybe from living on the streets. He was super fearful in the small dog kennels and was scheduled to be euthanized when his stray hold was up. Enter ACCT volunteer, Karina Sharma, who took him home as her foster. She brought him to my dog daycare to burn some energy while she would be at work. It was love at first sight. I took him home that day!
Fast forward two years later and we began Dog Town Rescue in honor of Hawkins and all of the stray dogs that need a bit of help! Since then, we have saved well over 1,000 dogs.
