A little about me...
Birdie, a gun shy bird dog from Kentucky, came into our home scared and confused like most rescue dogs. She religiously followed my husband around while also being scared of him. On occasion she would seek affection from me and cautiously keep an eye on our toddler.

Since then Birdie has blossomed. After 8 long months, she finally decided to break out of her shell and show us her goofy personality. She no longer cowers and runs away when she hears the creak of a door opening or the sound of a chip bag.

She enjoys spending her days chasing birds and pouncing on geckos. She is still cautious of our loud and rowdy two year old but enjoys keeping a close eye on her, getting fed imaginary food and picking up the bits of food she leaves around.

Birdie would make a great cover star not only because she is our bestest girl, but because she had made so much progress and blossomed into a setter that is as beautiful on the inside as she is on the out.
