A little about me...
Rocky had a long challenging journey in life before getting to the summit of Prospect Mountain. 9 year old Rocky started his journey overseas and eventually made his way to the states. His first owner, although really caring and loving him, found it difficult to properly care for him. That is how he made his way to us. Although a sweet and affectionate dog, Rocky's love of running made him a very difficult dog to contain. Affectionately known as a “Houdini”, Rocky was able to leap over fences in a single bound and never missed an opportunity to take advantage of an open door or gate to run free. My wife and I took Rocky in as a foster with the intention of keeping him. However, that free spirit also made us wonder whether he was the right dog for us. He eventually won us over and we decided to invest in training and working with him to keep Rocky with our family. A smart dog, he quickly learned his boundaries. This picture represents how much Rocky has grown, and the long climb through life has led him to the sunrise of happiness, safety and security with his permanent family in the Adirondack Mountains.
