A little about me...
I am Ankara, (the orange belton setter), with Poppy, (the blue belton setter and my shadow). My journey began in Turkey where, at some point, I was well-loved given I am a gentle, well-mannered, happy dog who loves waking up in the morning. Although I can’t say how I ended up as street dog, it may have been after I was struck by a vehicle. I am blind in one eye from an historical traumatic injury and once suffered multiple pelvic fractures, which healed without veterinary assistance. In other health news, I also have a tumour on my lung, which is being monitored by my wonderful vet. I share my garden kingdom with Poppy and a wild rabbit which has (thankfully: editor) eluded us. We (not including the wild rabbit) enjoy walking on the sun-dappled pathway of the nearby bird reserve (where we ignore the many deer wandering around). At night we cuddle up together and I know I am safe. Thank you ABESR, Nate and Rachel.
