A little about me...
Gorgeous Ruthie! Ruthie is one of the last of the Turkish setters to have arrived in the US before the CDC ban made it onerous to bring over our beloved Turkish setters. Ruthie's mom is Arya, who is all setter. Her dad was a traveling salesman, although her DNA indicates he might have had some Saluki in him.
Because she was born and raised in a shelter environment in Turkey, Ruthie was very shy in her foster home. Her foster family adopted her and 3 years later she loves her US family, skin and fur. She still startles at some things, but loves her neighborhood walks and has really blossomed. She always gets compliments from strangers and is so very sweet, gentle and goofy...100%setter there!
Ruthie was named in honor of Rudy, another Turkish setter who passed too young at one year old from a genetic disorder, also the year of the passing of Ruth Bader Ginsburg.
We love her dearly and look forward to many years together.
