A little about me...
Our previous ES died Feb 21 and we were devastated. We kept looking and looking for another rescue without success. Finally our luck changed the week before Christmas last year. I saw Bella being held by ABESR and submitted another in a line of applications. Was I ever shocked when I got a call within a couple days from an ABESR rep. That first call was just a general review of our application. Then I got another call about a day later wanting to know if we wanted to foster Bella as her foster mom was moving and wouldn’t be able to keep her. I asked if we could adopt instead of foster and that was approved. Her foster mom was moving from IL to VA or NC two days before Christmas. We made arrangements to meet in PA. I drove 5 hours by myself to meet. I was very wary of having a new dog in a hotel room overnight, but there was no reason to worry. Bella is the best dog I have ever known. We arrived home on Christmas Eve. My husband and I decided Bella was the best Christmas present we had ever gotten. We all quickly adapted to each other. We couldn’t imagine life without her. Thank you ABESR!
