A little about me...
My rescue setter is Ivy! (Formally Carly). When my lab had to be put down I was reluctant to finding another dog (we already had 2 others). My husband wanted a puppy from a high end bird dog bloodline. I said no way I am getting a rescue. Then we found Ivy. I messaged her foster mom on the daily pictures of my daily life and what her life would be like. I tried HARD for this dog I knew she was mine and I was up against other applicants. My husband was reluctant to get a rescue thinking she wouldn’t hunt. Turns out this girl hunts better than his setter from a breeder. Every rescue dog just needs a chance to shine! Ivy is proof that you don’t need a fancy pedigree to do what you love.
