Piper has had quite the journey over the last two years. She was rescued from a high kill shelter in KY by a small group in Fort Wayne, IN. I was looking for an English Setter to rescue and knew as soon as I saw her picture she was mine. I drove from MI to IN to meet her. She was full of energy running around the backyard! As soon as the papers were signed and they handed me her leash Piper knew I was her person. Shortly after her adoption we begin the long move to Fort Myers, FL. I never saw the scared stray the rescue described to me. She has definitely become more bold in her personality, but she has been sweet, stubborn and energetic since day one. If she is playing fetch or swimming she can be found on your lap getting a good snuggle in. She has also won the hearts of many middle schoolers as my students often ask when I will be bringing her into school or practice. “Hyper Piper” was born a star.
