Gordon was dropped off as a 'stray' with his sister Olive, under suspicious circumstances, at a shelter in Indiana. He was emaciated, full of fleas, worms, and had heartworm. He lived in foster care in Alabama for several months before making the journey to Central Pennsylvania. He was still skinny, still had worms, and was terrified of everything and everyone. Gordon has come a very long way. He is healthy. He has gone from a terrified quivering drooling shaking mess to a beautiful and loving companion. When he first came to us, he had terrible nightmares. Now, he wags his tail in his sleep. He didn't know how to play, but now he can sometimes be a total goofball. When we garden, he steals our gloves and tosses them around our yard. He used to run and hide from visitors. Now he barks his head off protectively and, once they are welcomed in by us, will stay in the same room and be quiet and unsure, but friendly. He runs like a greyhound. He dances and prances for treats. In the house, he never leaves our sides. We love him and are thankful for him every day.
