Share your setter’s story and why he/she should be our next Cover Star!
Sadie was adopted in 2012 from Above and Beyond.  She was petrified of people (especially men) and walked with her tummy close to the ground.  She did not bark, never wagged her tail, and did not understand the concept of “play.”   Apparently, she had been abused by a former owner.
 
My husband Eric won her over with a bar of Swiss cheese.  However, she did not walk with her head up, wag her tail, or bark until Eric and I moved from Hoboken, NJ to the Finger Lakes area in upstate NY.
 
Now, our little girl swims in the pond with no fear, barks at the deer in our yard, tells our other dog Moses what to do, and runs like a bucking bronco when she’s told it’s time for a walk.  And her tail is frequently up, in “wag” position.   She is still trying to understand why our other English Setter, Moses, runs after the string toy…..  but she is catching on!!!!!!
