We adopted Willow From Above & Beyond (A&B) in 2015 and Stella from Our English Setter Rescue (OESR) in 2017. They have bonded immediately, as if they needed each other. Willow was found in North Carolina (full of bird shot) and was fostered in Upstate New York while she recovered from heartworm in the loving care of June VanDemark. We waiting several months for her, but we knew when we saw her photo, she was going to be part of our family. The "conga-line" (transport) was a work of art as she had to stay over in Virginia one night. Thank you to all those who participated! We saw Stella on the OESR website and fell in love with her. You could see she was full of curiosity and so anxious to please. Her foster mom, Lori, sent me a video that sealed the deal. The non-stop tail wag! The conga-line for Stella was a little more challenging and one of the sweet transporters actually filled two legs, by driving north of where she lived, so she could then drive south of where she lived! The devotion of the transporters is nothing short of miraculous! Stella got right down to business being a member of our family and they are never far from one another, Stella sweetly calms Willow during thunderstorms, together they chase squirrels from the yard and they each encourage the other's playful side. We are a family!
