Tama was rescued by Tom Gramzow, when he was active with Above & Beyond. She had been at a kill shelter in Roswell, New Mexico (late 2007.) She was one day from being put down. Tom rescued her and knew how badly I wanted a lovely Llewelyn English Setter, as my own, Sintra, was dying of cancer and I was beside myself. Tama has been rescued in Sintra's spirit. She is a blessed dog, who has grown to know how to love and have the full extent of the spirit her name stands for (Native American): thunder. She needed a big new name (previously called "Baby," which she didn't answer to) to grow into the wondrous and beloved dog she is. Her "brother" is Chaz the Cat (also rescued.) She is greatly loved and completely lovely. She deserves all the best this world can give back to her.
