Share your setter’s story and why he/she should be our next Cover Star!
Banjo had a rough start in life, as a young dog he suffered abuse but luckily, someone removed him from that situation. He was one of several dogs at his new home and when the other dogs started to turn on him, he was fortunate to be taken in by Above and Beyond English Setter Rescue. They transported him from Missouri to New York where his fantastic foster was waiting. She transformed a timid dog who had never lived in a house, into a loving, confident, housetrained pet!
To mark his new beginning in Canada – Banjo was renamed him Horatio – after Hamlet’s loyal friend! That is what happens when you get adopted by an English teacher who loves Shakespeare! Horatio enjoys walking in the park and he is bound and determined to clear his yard of squirrels, rabbits and ducks. However, his favourite thing is cuddling – preferably with both his new humans at the same time!
Thanks so much to all the volunteers at Above & Beyond who made Horatio’s journey from Missouri to Ontario possible!
